First Days

The first day was a little much, flying to Frankfurt I did not sleep at all, I don't know if it was because I was so nervous to come here or just the fact that there was a million small children on the plane. Frankfurt wasn't to bad I met about 50 American kids who were also flying to Florence to study abroad a couple of people who were coming to LDM so wasn't all bad besides the fact that I never want to go to Germany again. Everything they say is so intense it just feels like they are yelling at you. My plane from Frankfurt to Florence got delayed three times, once because it was over packed and they offered 250 to anyone that gave up their spot, then because the plane was broken, then once more I think for fun. The airport in Florence is really funny it reminded me of a third world country. It really is just one very small building that you pick your luggage up in the leave but the best part was when you got off the plane there was two large men dressed like characters out off Street FIghter with dogs, that was their customs I guess because I didn't get my passport stamped or anything.
Florence however is amazing, it just as I imagined all the buildings are so beautiful and so are the people every Italian looks like they walked right out of a magazine. The men are funny, everyone told me to watch out for them but they just make me laugh. So far me and my roomies have been followed by groups of Italian men whistling and trying to get us to go with them about three times, not bad seeing I have only been here for about 25 hours. For dinner my roomies and me went to this restaurant I forgot the name of but we went there because students drink for free and I sadly got drunk off two glasses of wine, I think it was because I went 30 hours without sleep. I have so much to learn and take from this city it is the most amazing place I have ever been.
